Surge arrester POLIM-H..-..

Silicone-housed surge arrester of IEC class station high (SH) for AC systems up to 72 kV

POLIM-H ..-.. is a surge arrester with metal-oxide (MO) resistors without spark gaps directly molded in silicone housing, grey color, designed and tested according to IEC 60099-4; and it fulfills the requirements of ANSI/IEEE C62.11. POLIM-H ..-.. complies also with the following standards:

  • Shock and vibration tested according to IEC 61373
  • Fire and smoke behaviour tested and classified according to EN 45545-2

This surge arrester is used for protection of medium voltage systems against overvoltages from atmospheric discharges and switching conditions.

Applications

  • Power transformer, medium-voltage terminal, star point
  • Arc furnace transformer
  • Large size power generator
  • Traction systems – fixed installations
  • Rolling stock and high-speed trains
  • Capacitors and capacitor banks, high capacity
