Hitachi ABB Power Grids has provided products and solutions to more than 40 HVDC transmission projects in China, setting multiple world records on power grid technologies, including the first UHVDC link of State Grid, Xiangjiaba-Shanghai; Changji-Guquan, the world’s first 1,100 kV UHVDC transmission link with new records on voltage level, transmission capacity and distance; Sutong tunnel, the world’s first 1,000 kV ultra-high-voltage GIL to transmit power under the Yangtze River; the world’s first VSC-HVDC grid in Zhangbei, Hebei province; and Kunliulong DC project, the world’s first UHV multiple terminal VSC-HVDC project.
