The RXKL 1 relay is a universal timer that provides on-delay or pulse timing functions. The same timer is suitable for operation on all common DC battery voltages in the 24 - 250 V range as well as AC voltages 24 - 240 V 50 to 60 Hz, which makes it easy to specify and use also as a universal spare part for existing applications.
The timer is used in relay applications where reliability demands are high as well as where very high setting accuracy is needed.
The timer is suitable for most power system protection, logic and signalling functions as well as for high demanding and short time precision applications, e.g. breaker failure relaying and where two change-over contacts are needed. The wide setting-range permits RXKL 1 to be used as a replacement for many other types of timers. The wiring-configuration is pin-compatible with earlier types, e.g. RXKN 1, RXKB 1 and RXKE 1. The relay can also replace the RXKP 2 AC timer in function except the instantaneous start-indication contact.
