What attracts many of our new talents to join us is our open culture of collaboration and co-creation. We know that ideas can come from anywhere and the best ideas are often developed within informal teams of multidisciplinary experts. We take an open and inclusive approach to our every-day work and our experts relish the opportunity to develop solutions as part of project teams.
Whilst we employ many world-class experts, we also know that we cannot come up with the best ideas or instigate change alone. We encourage our experts to form wide networks that span national borders and domains – together with customers, industry partners, policymakers, academia and research bodies. Our culture nurtures a co-creation philosophy to solving challenges – ‘faster alone, but further together’. We also work with many start-ups in order to tap the full eco-structure of potential.
Adding more value through ‘outside-in thinking’
Our customers count on us to be pioneers in our own domain space (for example, HVDC, transformers, grid protection and control, HV circuit breakers, etc.). However, the extra value we generate often comes from our ability to transfer technological advancements from other sectors and then apply them back in to our core domain space. Examples range from plasma physics to software architecture. And importantly, we have established the necessary processes and project disciplines required to bring it all together and deliver real impact.

We have six main Research Centers located around the world in China, Europe and the USA; and a world-wide network of solution development centers. Combined with our extensive global footprint and extensive local office network, we are constantly adding to our ecosystem of knowledge, which includes the latest reference points and best practice required to anticipate and solve customer needs.
