We as Hitachi ABB Power Grids employees are extremely proud of our Grid Automation hardware, software and services portfolio that unites deep domain knowledge and innovative technologies that enable customers across the globe to optimize the critical systems that power, move and connect us. To strengthen our Power Grids family, we are now looking for a Sales Manager in Vaasa, Tampere or Helsinki. In this role you will drive the Grid Automation business in close cooperation with the local sales channels in Finland. You will participate actively in local sales and marketing, and develop our own activities to grow the business volume. You will, with drive and passion, spread the message of our products via our sales channels. As our new Sales Manager, you will be part of our front-end sales team. The role requires the ability to promote and present our project solutions and products. The main responsibility area is our substation automation project and product sales for selected channels. You will lead business discussions with customers and therefore a wide project solutions and products knowledge is needed. You must also enjoy helping our customers and channels by providing solutions to their problems. This role is a versatile role where you will have the opportunity to influence and develop our sales operation as well as work with world class products. Your responsibilities

  • Project solution and product sales activities for selected customers
  • Take active sales role by supporting and working closely with tendering team
  • Active promotion of project solutions and products for potential customers
  • Technical advice and support, and business development via different channels
  • Find new customers and partners actively and take care of partner contracts and renewals
  • Co-operate opportunities and activities together with local units and FES organization
  • Develop sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Keep and update business plans, which will be checked yearly by management
  • Take responsibility of local fairs and seminars, that our demos/products, brochures and references are well presented and updated
  • Follow-up sales and budget targets and take care that KPI’s are on target-level in own responsibility areas
  • Take care of technical/product knowledge and update that continually

Your background

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Sales driven (active travelling, business planning, tender preparation, meeting partners, executing and closing deals)
  • Strong networking skills. Willingness to contact, serve and support customers
  • Good knowledge in substation business (protection & control or substation automation)
  • Good knowledge in other grid automation business areas appreciated (e.g. BESS, SCADA, DMS, Asset Management, Communications)
  • Good presentation, negotiation and communication skills
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
  • Willingness to develop business together with other Power Grids colleagues and units
