Hitachi ABB's High Voltage Products (PGHV) team provides products which help enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. Our technology leadership continues to facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency. The Capacitors and Filters product group at Québec City is looking for an experienced mechanical designer to join their team. We are looking for someone with interpersonal skills, good teamwork skills, and the ability to focus on complex concepts while working under pressure. The mechanical designer will support a well-established team and work on 2D and 3D development products. Our products are customized to the customer's requirements and are unique, including multiple components that must be part of the overall design.
Your responsibilities
Your background
- Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in computer-assisted design (CAD), college diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering
- Experience in 2D and 3D design
- Mastery of d'Autocad
- Knowledge of PTC Creo
- Knowledge of Solidworks is an asset
- Knowledge of English and French (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to use IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- Team spirit
- Creativity, attention to detail
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Experience in medium voltage electrical equipment and cubicles is an asset
