Are you looking to springboard your career, shape the future of energy, and make a real difference in a global company? Do you know the path you want to take, or do you want to explore different possibilities to find the perfect job? In either case, our programs for engineering graduates offer a great possibility to chart your future.

As a Graduate Trainee, you will work across three different assignments before starting your permanent full-time employment. Explore different roles in different business units and find the right path for you. The Graduate Program runs at a fast pace and will help you learn to adapt to new challenges and environments.

It is up to you to choose what opportunity you would like to pursue. Explore different areas and find the perfect place for yourself!

The Graduate Program consists of three assignments of six months each as a part of your full-time employment. As a Graduate program participant, you decide which business unit and functions you want to work within. During these assignments, you have an opportunity to develop your business network with the goal of finding your future workplace.

During the program, you will participate in many different training sessions, professional networking activities, social events, and study visits. You are encouraged to engage directly with our inspiring leaders to learn more about them and their journeys within the company. Throughout the program you will receive coaching and support from both the Graduate Program Manager and your Assignment Managers.

At the end of this 18-month program, you will have a comprehensive foundation to find your full-time placement within one of our business units. Are you ready to accept the challenge?

Our six-months assignments usually consist of specific projects for which you take full responsibility and ownership. You are responsible for finding and applying for these assignments yourself, with the support of the company. This gives you the chance to put together your individual Trainee journey based on your interests and passions. We highly recommend that you apply for different areas of operation and roles.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go out of your comfort zone and try roles that you might not have thought you would work with. This helps you to build a very strong and diverse professional network that will be invaluable during the rest of your career.

During your first week of the Graduate Trainee Program you will get to know your fellow participants in the graduate program and our company. From the very start you will have the opportunity to meet and develop a network within the organization. We want to inspire and motivate you as you start your journey with Hitachi ABB Power Grids.

You will be part of a very strong and international trainee community. During the program, you will participate in many different social and business events, as well as external study visits. These activities help your team to get to know each other, collaborate, and create lifelong friendships.

You will receive coaching and support during the program from both the Graduate Program Manager and your Assignment Managers. Feedback is a crucial part of your personal development, which is why you will receive individual feedback after each assignment. You are actively encouraged to seek advice and support from our people, and the various courses and seminars offered prompt you to evaluate and develop your own professional characteristic.
