LTA Disconnecting Circuit Breaker (DCB)

The eco-efficient Disconnecting Circuit Breaker (DCB) makes use of a CO2-based gas mixture as the insulating and arc extinguishing medium as an alternative to SF6.

A DCB provides the functionality of a circuit breaker and a disconnector combined in a single unit. Without the need for separate disconnectors, up to 65% less space is required. Hitachi ABB Power Grids' DCB is suitable for outdoor and indoor substation applications.

The DCB is also available as with eco-efficient alternative gas-mixture as the insulating and arc extinguishing medium. The LTA DCB enables a Global Warming Potential (GWP) reduction of almost 100%.
