We are committed to reducing the environmental impact from our products and solutions along their life cycle, from extraction of raw materials, transportation, use-phase and end-of-life to protect and preserve the planet's ecosystem and biodiversity.
- Reduce our greenhouse gas emissions along our value chain in alignment with the Science-based target initiative and the Paris Agreement.
- Increase fossil free electricity in our operations and meet our GHG reduction target of - 40% by 2020 in our operations (baseline 2013).

No. 6 Clean Water and Sanitation
Water scarcity is a growing problem further aggravated with climate change. In our operations and in the use phase of our technologies we will reduce pollution and minimize release of hazardous chemicals and materials to improve water quality. We will substantially increase water-use efficiency, recycling and safe reuse globally.
No. 7 Affordable and Clean Energy
As a global leader in power technologies, we are committed to development of modern, affordable and clean energy for improving quality of life of all people. We do this by providing power products, systems, software and services with minimum environmental impact. Our pioneering solutions – such as our HVDC technology - facilitate the safe, reliable and efficient integration, transmission and distribution of renewable sources for our partners in the utility, industry, mobility, life, cities and IT sectors.
Our aim is to increase energy efficient electrification and the share of renewable energy in the grid, in industries, mobility systems and our own operations.
No. 12 Responsible Consumption and Production
In our operations we will substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. We will manage chemicals and materials throughout their life cycle in our technologies to reduce their release to air, water and soil in order to minimize their adverse impacts on human health and the environment.
No. 13 Climate Action
We will strengthen our resilience to climate-related hazards and natural disasters to reduce risks and leverage opportunities to reduce the negative impact from climate change.
