Hitachi ABB Power Grids Supplier Sustainability Development Program
Hitachi ABB Power Grids is committed to responsible sourcing and helping our partners meet the challenges of responsible manufacturing.
Hitachi ABB Power Grids has factories in about 70 countries. Together, Hitachi ABB Power Grids and suppliers have a responsibility of doing business for good. This is done by ensuring that both sides are obeying the law of the country where they are based, are taking action to limit their environmental impacts, respect the legal and human rights of their workers and have effective health and safety policies.
The Hitachi ABB Power Grids Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC) clearly outlines our expectations, based on the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact, and is updated periodically to address new developments.
Hitachi ABB Power Grids has also developed the Supplier Sustainability Development Program (SSDP), to improve the sustainability performance of our suppliers, especially those exposed to sustainability risks. As part of the program, Hitachi ABB Power Grids conducts on-site evaluations, training and special projects to support suppliers, monitoring performance to make sure we are aligned on our commitments and obligations.
